Wireless-Charging Eye-Care Desk Lamp (Industrial Design Prototype)
OEM/ODM industrial design and prototype-development case for a wireless-charging eye-care desk lamp. The reference project demonstrates capabilities in cantilever pivot development, uniform light-guide optics, 15 W wireless charging integration, structural engineering and multi-round prototype validation for customized smart-lighting products.
1. Project Overview
This OEM/ODM project demonstrates the industrial design and structural prototype development of an eye-care desk lamp with integrated wireless charging. The reference design combines a cantilever pivot mechanism, uniform light-guide optics and a 15 W wireless charging module within the lamp base. Multiple exterior concepts and structural prototypes were developed to evaluate appearance, mechanical movement, lighting integration and overall product architecture before further engineering.
2. Industrial Design & Structural Development
• Cantilever Arm Architecture: The reference design uses an aluminum cantilever arm to create an adjustable lighting structure while maintaining a clean desktop form.
• Pivot Mechanism Development: Joint and pivot structures are developed to coordinate lamp positioning, mechanical movement and structural stability.
• Aluminum Arm Integration: The aluminum arm is incorporated into the overall structural and appearance design according to the reference project requirements.
• Base Structure Development: Internal space within the base is coordinated for structural components, electronics and the wireless charging module.
• Multi-Round Design Concepts: Multiple exterior concepts are developed and evaluated before proceeding to detailed structural prototyping.
3. Lighting & Optical Development
• 2700–6500 K Color Temperature: The reference lighting configuration covers a wide adjustable color-temperature range for different reading and task-lighting environments.
• Ra95 Color Rendering: The demonstrated configuration specifies a CRI of Ra95 for improved color reproduction under the lamp.
• 12 W Lighting Power: The reference prototype uses a specified 12 W lighting configuration.
• Light-Guide Plate Design: Optical structure development focuses on distributing light across the illumination area with improved uniformity.
• Flicker-Free Lighting: The reference design specifies flicker-free operation for compatible reading and task-lighting applications.
4. Wireless Charging Integration
• 15 W Wireless Charging: The reference base integrates a 15 W wireless charging module for compatible mobile devices.
• Charging Module Integration: The charging electronics and coil are coordinated with the internal base structure during product development.
• Desktop Function Integration: Combining lighting and wireless charging reduces the need for separate desktop charging accessories.
• Structural Coordination: Charging-module placement is considered together with enclosure dimensions, internal electronics and exterior design requirements.
5. Prototype & Design Validation
• Appearance Rendering: Exterior renders are produced to compare form, proportions, materials and overall visual direction.
• Structural Prototyping: Physical prototypes are used to evaluate the lamp body, pivot mechanism, base and internal component arrangement.
• Mechanical Evaluation: Prototype development allows joint movement and structural relationships to be reviewed before further engineering.
• Design Iteration: Findings from appearance and structural evaluation can be incorporated into subsequent design revisions.
• Production-Oriented Development: Validated design data provides a foundation for subsequent engineering, tooling and manufacturing preparation.
6. OEM/ODM Development Capability
• Smart Lighting Product Development: Suitable for brands developing desk lamps, reading lights and multifunctional smart-home lighting products.
• Project-Based Customization: Product form, dimensions, CMF, lighting configuration and integrated functions can be developed according to individual project requirements.
• Mechanical & Electronic Integration: Supports coordinated development of mechanical structures, optical components, electronics and wireless charging functions.
• Design-to-Prototype Support: Covers concept development, 3D modeling, structural engineering, appearance rendering and physical prototype validation according to project scope.
