Smart Bluetooth Body Fat Scale (Industrial Design Prototype)

KU-OC-01-005

OEM/ODM industrial design and prototype-development case for an ultra-slim smart Bluetooth body fat scale. The reference project demonstrates capabilities in seamless tempered-glass panel design, concealed ITO electrode integration, low-profile structural development, 3D modeling, appearance rendering and physical prototype validation for customized smart-health products.

1. Project Overview
This OEM/ODM project demonstrates the industrial design and ultra-slim structural prototype development of a smart Bluetooth body fat scale. The reference design combines a seamless tempered-glass top panel, four concealed ITO electrodes and a low-profile 300 × 300 × 25 mm structure. Development covers exterior design, internal structural layout, anti-slip foot details, appearance rendering and physical prototype validation for customized smart-health products.

2. Industrial Design & Exterior Development
• Seamless Tempered-Glass Panel: The reference design uses an integrated tempered-glass top surface to create a clean, minimal appearance suitable for modern home environments.
• Concealed ITO Electrodes: Four ITO electrodes are integrated into the top-panel design while maintaining a visually simplified weighing surface.
• Ultra-Slim Profile: The 25 mm reference thickness demonstrates a low-profile structural approach for compact smart-scale development.
• Minimal Exterior Architecture: Functional elements are coordinated with the overall form to reduce visual interruption across the main product surface.
• Anti-Slip Foot Design: Bottom support and anti-slip details are incorporated into the structural design for stable placement during normal use.

3. Structural Modeling & Prototype Development
• Low-Profile Internal Stack-Up: Internal components are arranged within the slim enclosure while considering structural space and assembly requirements.
• 3D Structural Modeling: Exterior surfaces and internal structures are developed digitally before physical prototype production.
• Component Integration: Glass panel, electrodes, weighing structure, electronics and housing components are coordinated within the reference dimensions.
• Appearance Rendering: Product renders are produced to evaluate form, proportions, materials and overall visual direction before prototype approval.
• Structural Prototype Validation: Physical prototypes allow dimensions, assembly relationships and key design details to be evaluated before further engineering.

4. Reference Weighing & Smart Functions
• 5–180 kg Weighing Range: The reference configuration supports the specified weighing range with a stated resolution/accuracy specification of ±0.1 kg.
• Four ITO Electrodes: The demonstrated design uses four electrodes for compatible body-composition measurement functions.
• Eight Body Metrics: The reference product configuration supports eight body-data metrics according to the corresponding hardware, software and algorithm implementation.
• Bluetooth 5.0: Provides wireless connectivity for compatible mobile applications and smart-health ecosystems.
• Multi-User Application: The smart-scale concept can be developed for household health-management applications involving multiple users.

5. OEM/ODM Development Capability
• Smart Health Product Development: Suitable for brands developing connected scales, body-composition devices and related smart-health products.
• Project-Based Industrial Design: Exterior form, CMF, dimensions, materials and structural details can be developed according to individual brand requirements.
• Design-to-Prototype Support: Covers industrial design, 3D modeling, structural development, appearance rendering and physical prototype preparation according to project scope.
• Hardware & Structure Coordination: Product architecture can be developed around the required weighing components, electrodes, electronics and enclosure structure.
• Production-Oriented Development: Validated design and structural data can provide the basis for subsequent engineering, tooling and production preparation.
