Smart Bluetooth Speaker (Industrial Design Prototype)

KU-OC-01-001

OEM/ODM industrial design and prototype-development case for a cylindrical smart Bluetooth speaker. The reference project demonstrates capabilities in CMF definition, 3D surface modeling, acoustic-chamber layout and 3D-printed prototype validation, with particular attention to speaker-grille texture, enclosure integration and production-oriented structural development.

1. Project Overview
This OEM/ODM project demonstrates the industrial design and structural prototype development of a cylindrical smart Bluetooth speaker for consumer electronics brands. The reference project covers CMF definition, 3D surface modeling, acoustic-chamber layout and 3D-printed prototype validation. Development focused on integrating the exterior form, internal acoustic structure and component layout while refining details such as the speaker-grille texture and housing joints.

2. Industrial Design & CMF Development
• Cylindrical Product Architecture: The reference design uses a compact cylindrical form developed around portable audio functionality and internal component requirements.
• CMF Definition: Color, material and finish specifications are developed to establish the product’s visual identity and surface characteristics.
• Speaker-Grille Design: Grille texture and opening patterns are refined as part of both the exterior design and acoustic structure.
• Aluminum + ABS Housing: The reference prototype combines aluminum and ABS within the enclosure design to meet the specified appearance and structural requirements.
• Seamless Joint Finishing: Housing interfaces and transition areas are refined to minimize visible seams and create a more integrated exterior.

3. 3D Modeling & Structural Development
• 3D Surface Modeling: Converts the approved industrial design into detailed digital surfaces for structural engineering and prototype preparation.
• Acoustic-Chamber Layout: Internal space is arranged around the speaker units, acoustic chamber, electronics and other required components.
• Component Packaging: Internal hardware and structural components are coordinated within the Ø88 × 160 mm reference enclosure.
• Structure Integration: Exterior surfaces, internal supports and assembly interfaces are developed together to support subsequent prototype validation.
• Engineering Development: Design and structural data can be refined for further engineering, tooling and manufacturing preparation.

4. Prototype & Design Validation
• 3D-Printed Prototype: Physical prototypes are produced to evaluate dimensions, proportions, assembly relationships and key design details.
• Appearance Evaluation: Prototype samples allow the grille texture, housing transitions, surface details and overall form to be reviewed physically.
• Structural Verification: Internal layouts and assembly features can be checked before proceeding to subsequent engineering stages.
• Design Iteration: Findings from prototype evaluation can be incorporated into revised 3D models and structural designs.
• Production-Oriented Validation: Prototype development helps identify design and structural issues before tooling and production preparation.

5. Reference Audio & Wireless Configuration
• Bluetooth 5.3: The reference speaker configuration uses Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity.
• 20 W Audio Output: The demonstrated configuration provides a specified 20 W audio output.
• 60 Hz–20 kHz Frequency Response: The reference audio configuration covers the specified frequency-response range.
• AAC / SBC Codec Support: The demonstrated configuration supports AAC and SBC Bluetooth audio codecs.
• 18-Hour Playtime: The reference design specifies up to 18 hours of playback under the corresponding test and operating conditions.

6. OEM/ODM Development Capability
• Full-Cycle Product Development: Supports CMF definition, industrial design, 3D modeling, structural development and physical prototype validation according to project scope.
• Brand-Oriented Customization: Product form, materials, surface finish, branding and other design elements can be developed around individual brand requirements.
• Smart Audio Development: Suitable for brands developing Bluetooth speakers and related portable or home audio products.
• Prototype-to-Production Support: Validated design and structural data can provide the basis for subsequent engineering, tooling and production preparation.
