Vehicle Mount Bracket Injection Mold

KU-OC-02-002

Custom dual-shot injection mold development for vehicle mount brackets and automotive accessory components. The program combines clip and damping-structure optimization, 718H tooling, trial molding and full dimensional inspection to support consistent volume production and automotive assembly requirements.

1. Product Overview
This custom dual-shot injection mold is developed for vehicle mount brackets and related automotive interior components requiring integrated rigid and soft-material structures. The reference tooling uses a 1+1 cavity configuration with a part size of 140 × 90 × 55 mm, 718H tool steel and a specified mold life of at least 300,000 shots. The development process focuses on clip geometry, damping structures, trial molding and dimensional inspection for automotive assembly applications.

2. Dual-Shot Mold Engineering
• Dual-Shot Injection Design: Supports integrated molding of compatible rigid and soft materials within the component design.
• 1+1 Cavity Configuration: Provides the specified cavity arrangement for corresponding vehicle-mount components.
• 718H Tool Steel: Used for the specified mold core to support repeatable injection-molding production.
• Clip Structure Optimization: Refines snap-fit and locating features according to product assembly requirements.
• Damping Structure Development: Integrates soft-material areas where required to improve contact, grip and vibration isolation.

3. Trial Mold & Dimensional Validation
• Trial-Mold Validation: Mold trials are conducted to evaluate part formation, appearance, assembly features and molding performance.
• Full Dimensional Inspection: Molded samples are checked against the approved dimensional requirements before production acceptance.
• Assembly Fit Verification: Clip positions, mating surfaces and structural interfaces can be evaluated using trial-mold samples.
• Production Consistency: Tooling development focuses on repeatable part dimensions and assembly fit for subsequent batch production.
• Mold Life: The specified tooling life is ≥300,000 shots under appropriate molding and maintenance conditions.

4. Surface & Structural Features
• Matte Finish: Provides the specified surface appearance for compatible vehicle interior components.
• Rigid-Soft Material Integration: Dual-shot molding enables compatible hard and soft materials to be incorporated into a single molded component.
• Snap-Fit Structure: Suitable for components requiring integrated clips or locating features during vehicle accessory assembly.
• Vibration-Reduction Features: Soft-material sections can be incorporated into contact areas according to the approved product structure.

5. OEM/ODM Project Advantages
• Automotive Accessory Development: Suitable for brands and manufacturers developing vehicle mounts and related interior accessories.
• Integrated Tooling Process: Covers structural optimization, mold manufacturing, trial molding and dimensional verification.
• Volume Production Support: Developed for repeatable manufacturing of vehicle-mount structural components.
• Multiple Product Applications: The tooling-development approach can be applied to phone holders, navigation brackets, in-car charger housings and similar automotive accessory components.
